Pipe Field Manager (Foreman)

Description

The Pipe Field Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of utility operations—including water, sewer, and drainage—on construction sites. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil construction, especially underground utilities, and can manage complex site and civil projects from start to finish. This role requires ownership, informed decision‑making, and coordination of job‑site crews, subcontractors, and material and equipment providers, while interfacing with clients, inspectors, regulatory representatives, and other key individuals.

• Supervises hourly crewmembers and plans/schedules manpower and equipment as needed.
• Manages deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure safety, profit, scheduling compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Follows the Allan Myers Safety Program including preplanning to identify conditions and exposures, proper safety and personal protective equipment and accident investigation and reporting.
• Coordinates and collaborates with other Field Managers, Superintendents, and the customer to implement successful project plans.
• Provides on the job training to crewmembers for assigned tasks.
• Communicates performance expectations for productivity, quality, and safety to crews and ensures progress towards expectations.
• Adminsisters timely and accurate documentation for project-related activities including change orders, time and materials, purchase orders, daily job control reports and receiving slips/invoices.

Requirements

• Demonstrates technical proficiency in multiple aspects of pipe installation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; continuing education in construction highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of construction experience in at least one trade discipline (e.g., excavation, pipe, concrete, or paving); one or more years supervisory experience preferred.
• OSHA 10‑hour certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
