The Field Service Technician II is a vital member of our field service team, responsible for assisting in the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of transformers and related equipment while prioritizing safety. The role operates with minimal oversight and can work independently under senior technicians.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Participate in safety training programs and meetings.
- Perform entry‑level tasks with little or no assistance, including LOTO, arc flash, and grounding procedures.
- Assist with testing, operate dry‑air machine, and measure/cut gaskets.
- Support transformer internals, vacuum setup, and rig operation on overnight shifts.
- Install and commission Calisto and other monitoring devices.

- Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
- High school diploma or GED; electrical maintenance courses preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to crawl, climb, stand and lift up to 50 lb (with accommodations as needed).
- Pass a fit‑for‑duty exam.
- Available for regular overnight domestic travel, occasional international travel, flexible hours, overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights; up to 80 % travel.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
- NCCO crane certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and power‑distribution safety hazards preferred.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams, metering, and recording devices.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and learn industry practices.
