This role serves as the primary point of contact for members experiencing computer issues and coordinates IT infrastructure and development challenges with the Director of IT Operations.
Key responsibilities include installing and configuring approved hardware and software, collaborating with contractors on hardware deployments, and resolving escalated technical issues. The technician also provides onsite and remote support to members, handles user provisioning in systems such as Active Directory and Exchange, replaces faulty equipment, reimages desktops and laptops, assesses network infrastructure, and ensures data protection through encryption and secure storage. Additional duties involve processing hardware RMAs, supporting temporary event setups, and creating SOPs for undocumented procedures.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus at least two years of experience managing computer networks and system maintenance in a large‑scale resort or casino environment. Required skills include troubleshooting point‑of‑sale equipment, networking, mentoring Level 1 technicians, project management, and strong communication, diagnostic, and leadership abilities. Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and familiarity with Microsoft 365, ticketing systems, and IT security and data‑privacy principles. The role demands flexibility to work nights and weekends in a fast‑paced, high‑stress setting.
The position requires regular standing, hand and finger use, reaching, and verbal communication. Physical demands include lifting up to 10 lb regularly, up to 25 lb frequently, and up to 50 lb occasionally, as well as the ability to push, pull, bend, twist, and navigate confined spaces. The work environment is moderately noisy, with potential exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke.
Compensation is market‑competitive, with a salary range of $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, aligned with experience, skills, and internal equity. The company emphasizes transparent communication about compensation goals and career development opportunities.
