In this role you will lead the execution of mechanical retrofit projects under general supervision, ensuring safety, quality, and financial success. You will coordinate day‑to‑day activities for mechanics and subcontractors, secure new work and change orders, and serve as a technical resource for Sales while building strong customer relationships. The position follows Johnson Controls’ standardized processes for project management, safety compliance, and local code adherence.
You will plan, execute, and control projects from start to finish, using Johnson Controls tools to track progress and communicate status. Strong relationships with customers and subcontractors will be cultivated through regular progress meetings, proactive issue resolution, and a focus on safety and compliance across all activities.
The ideal candidate has six or more years of technical and operational experience in service or retrofit projects, with a proven track record leading mechanics on projects generating $3–$4 million in revenue. Required skills include deep HVAC mechanical knowledge, excellent communication for both technical and non‑technical audiences, proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office, and the ability to travel as needed. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 by the start date; 2–4 years of engineering or trade‑school training is preferred.
Salary ranges from $89 k to $134 k, determined by education, experience, and market data, and the role includes a competitive bonus plan and benefits package.
