Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs as well as moving the whole body such as running, maneuvering, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and manipulate or move materials
Attend meetings and follow up with other construction representatives and personnel related to scheduling, workforce, material delivery, change orders, RFI, start up, etc.
Monitor and document Contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with plan and specification requirements.
Drive and navigate vehicles or mechanized equipment including but not limited to all-terrain vehicles or water craft
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
Understand and monitor project budgets and follow up on related tasks as assigned; coordinate Change Orders with the Project Manager.
Maintain and prepare appropriate files, reports, and records for documentation purposes including daily reports, tracking reports, photos, close out paperwork, and other information related to the project.

Understand duties and responsibilities under Engineer’s Agreement with the Owner, as well as the Contractor’s Contract with the Owner for each project to ensure obligations and expectations are met.
Ability to walk up to 10 miles on uneven terrain
Experience on pipeline, water, wastewater, or rural water projects
May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Regional travel and overnight stay required.
May require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 75 pounds
5+ years of construction experience or engineering-based construction observation and administration experience (willing to consider candidates with less experience).
Ability to travel and work remotely for extended periods of time
Working knowledge of GIS and GPS for use in collecting field data
Related construction field experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Degree in construction engineering, construction management, or related field
