- Support quality assurance processes through testing and peer-reviews
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations, standards and best practices
- Participate in internal and external client meetings as directed
- Develop skills and experience towards building expert witness capabilities
- Regularly and accurately record and describe time spent in day-to-day activities using the required platform
- Assist in drafting expert reports, notes and external communications
- Assist in dispute resolution proceedings under supervision
- Learn from testifying experts to build foundation knowledge
- Support in meeting client and internal deadlines
- Assist in managing team workload under supervision
- Contribute to achieving project deliverables within budget
- Support senior colleagues in expert witness appointments
- Assist in producing analyses and communicating findings internally and externally in clear and objective form
- Building a network of client contacts and developing reputation within the field
- Conduct critical review and analysis of construction project records under guidance
- Actively contribute to SOCOTEC's initiatives
- Assist in the development of proposals under guidance
- Contribute to developing solutions and strategies for project objectives
- Support in the selection and implementation of assessment methodologies
- Foster collaborative working within the high-performing team environment
- Attend marketing events, client events, seminars and lectures to build technical knowledge and relationships while promoting SOCOTEC Advisory's brand
- Maintain high standards in all work outputs
- Review records from dispute resolution proceedings, including witness statements and expert reports, under supervision
- Support senior team members in day-to-day operations and project delivery
- Support liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Support senior colleagues in client communications
- Undertake training, CPD, and other activities to develop technical and managerial skills

- Good experience with dispute resolution proceedings within the Construction Industry and understanding of the expert witness role
- Ability to act as point of contact to instructing clients under supervision
- Comfortable supporting client liaison and presentations
- Experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Competent in drafting sections of expert reports and supporting documentation
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and comfortable working with large data sets
- Comfortable working independently and in teams to meet strict deadlines across various project types
- Demonstrated willingness to develop specialist knowledge in respective field (Quantum or Delay)
- Degree level education in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience in the sector
- Proactive, analytical thinker with attention to detail
- Capable of contributing to solution development and collaborating effectively with peers
- Working towards chartership in relevant institution or recently chartered
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Experience supporting expert witness appointments with aspiration to secure own appointments
- Willing to travel internationally, if required
- Experience working with different suites of construction contracts (i.e. JCT, NEC, FIDIC), with exposure to claims assessment and project records
- Ability to contribute to team motivation and deadline management
- Strong communicator in English, both verbally and in writing
- Some negotiation experience or training
- Good knowledge of construction cost management (for Quantum) and/or construction project management (for Delay)
- Able to produce accurate, well-structured analyses with guidance
- Knowledge of relevant specialist software such as Primavera P6, CostX, REVIT, AutoCAD, etc
