Sheet Metal Mechanic

Description

• While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Completes work related paperwork and forms.
• Plans and lays out work assignments from blueprints or other specifications sets up and operates appropriate sheet metal working machines and shapes the proper gauge sheet.
• Follows safety practices and procedures and keeps work area clean.
• metal by cutting, bending, forming, fitting, and assembling and installs fabricated Sheetmetal pieces as required.

Requirements

• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check.
• Must have at least four (4) years’ commercial journeymen level experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic performing the above stated duties.
• Must have and maintain a valid state drivers’ license.
• Must be able to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, reach overhead and lift 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalency.
• The employee must be able to hear and speak.
• The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Lifts exceeding 50 pounds will be accomplished with two-man teams and using appropriate safety equipment to efficiently accomplish the task.
