- Support Contract Negotiations – Develop and manage category bids, lead rate and contract negotiations, vendor evaluations and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance - Monitor transportation services to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Analyze and Report Performance Metrics - Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Align Carrier Performance with Business Needs - Partner with Business Units to ensure transportation providers meet operational and service requirements aligned with business objectives.
- Drive Process Improvements - Identify and implement process enhancements and industry best practices to improve efficiency and service that align with the priorities in Logistics and greater JM organization.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing Initiatives – Support the development, prioritizing and execution of strategic sourcing plans for assigned transportation categories.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to support logistics and broader supply chain initiatives.
- Manage Transportation Provider Relationships - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with transportation service providers to ensure consistent service quality and performance.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant transportation procurement experience
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Intermediate knowledge of financial analysis
- Working knowledge of contract development and contract law
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
- Strong knowledge of transportation procurement and logistics operations (van, flatbed, intermodal, LTL, and/or parcel)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to think strategically
- Minimal travel required (5–10 days per year)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends
- Good understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven ability managing supplier relationships
