Understanding of regulatory bodies and compliance requirements relevant to multifamily housing (e.g., HUD, state housing authorities)
Familiarity with lease agreements, resident lifecycle processes, and compliance standards in property management
Ability to work well under pressure in an ever-changing environment
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with lease documentation, audits, or risk assessments in a property management setting
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Legal Studies, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (required)
Detail-oriented with experience conducting audits and identifying compliance risks
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal or policy content into clear, actionable updates
Knowledge of legislative and public policy processes, including how laws are introduced, passed, and enacted
Strong research and analytical skills to track, interpret, and summarize legislation and assess organizational impact
Certification or coursework in Fair Housing, landlord-tenant law, or compliance (e.g., CAM, CAPS, NAAEI, or similar) preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills
Multifamily industry experience is required
