This role not only providesreporting and progress updatesalong with all key projectteam members but proactively challenges all parties, both internaland external/contracted, to ensure timelydelivery of the project, with the expected quality.

The Offshore Project Controls Associate is responsible for establishing and managing a project controls system (planning and cost control) to support the Project Management decision-making process. The position is responsible for liaising with project team, finance department, and management, monitoring the project’s progress against financial and milestone targets.

  • RISK ASSESSMENT – Identify and controls project activities that may jeopardize the achievement of the Contract milestones. Regularly identify, prioritize, escalate, and mitigate project risks, together with project director. Propose recommendations to mitigate identified risks to the project by running simulations and assessing impact of actions taken.
  • PROJECT REPORTING – Ensure regular reporting of the project activities to inform, at any time and whenever requested, necessary parties of status quo to guarantee all phases of the Project are on track.
  • Prepare all Project Control deliverables (cost report, revenue forecast, Primavera project schedule, progress report, etc) – Collect actual data, evaluate forecast, and monitor any deviation compared with the baseline schedule or initial budget.
  • COORDINATION WITH PROJECT TEAM – Communicate and support the project team to ensure progress, making sure the relevant information is captured and kept up to date.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical conduct and integrity
  • PRIMAVERA SOFTWARE– Take ownership of the Primavera platformand ensures alignment with the Head of Interface and Project Director.
  • PROJECT CONTROL – Responsible for ensuring all phases of the project are moving according to the agreed timeline, stay within budget and with the expected quality. Prepare and issue the cost, scheduling, and progress measurement procedures, guidelines and reporting templates to be used as for the project. Promote continuous improvements using the lessons learned.
  • DEVIATIONS ASSESSMENT – Identify potential deviations and provides solutions to resolve issues that may arise throughout the different phases of the project.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

The project has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages will be highly valued .

University degreein Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Business Administration

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Ability to operate adequately in a significant, ever-growing environment
  • Technical capabilities and good at gathering and sharing information
  • Creative and able to stay professional in a time-sensitive setting with the ability to manage varying situations and work in ambiguous circumstances
  • Experience in offshore wind and/or working in Australia will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge of energy or other infrastructure project.
  • Experience working with Risk modelling.
  • Demonstrable Business, economic and financial knowledge/experience.
  • Excellent organization and reporting skills.
  • Experience in project controls, including planning/scheduling, and cost management.

  • Thorough attention to details
