Become the leading global provider of professional services to the natural resources, infrastructure and property markets.
Key responsibilities include estimating and negotiating change orders, producing and presenting final cost plans, reviewing design and contractor estimates, reconciling data for accuracy, and coordinating cost information from suppliers and subcontractors. The Cost Manager will also drive engineering priorities based on cost impact, conduct cost checks and valuations, manage post‑contract cost variances and change control processes, and oversee contingency management and commitment tracking.
Pre‑contract duties involve developing cost plans through design milestones, providing commercial input to design optioneering and value‑engineering exercises, and leading negotiations on contractor pricing. Post‑contract responsibilities cover quantity surveying, cost controls, change management, monthly cost reporting, final account negotiation, and compiling as‑built cost records for benchmarking.
The company is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to provide commercial management, cost control, and estimating services on a large‑scale data centre construction program. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to operate comfortably in a client‑facing capacity.
Candidates must have at least four years of experience in a construction cost role, a college or postgraduate degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or a related field, and good knowledge of procurement routes, value management, and value engineering. RICS accreditation is advantageous but not required, and experience on large‑scale commercial real estate or EV projects is desired.
