The Tower Technician II installs, maintains, and operates wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment. Duties include climbing towers, erecting various tower types, off‑loading material, preparing sites, and assisting with antenna and transmission line installations using cranes, helicopters, and gin poles. The technician also supports foundation, grounding, and electrical work while mentoring less‑experienced crew members.

A strong safety mindset, physical ability to climb towers, lift 50 lb, and work up to 12‑hour shifts are required, along with a valid driver’s license; NWSA certification is a plus.
