We are seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support our team with key departmental functions. In this role, you will assist by gathering and organizing important documents and information, keeping records up to date, tracking proposal deadlines, and sharing relevant materials with the right stakeholders to help manage risk effectively. This is a full-time on-site role for a Paralegal at Christa Construction, located in the Rochester, New York Metropolitan Area.
Conduct annual review of standard owner contracts and master subcontracts.
Coordinate contract review meetings with the preconstruction team.
Assist Risk Manager with acquiring and reviewing payment and performance bonds.
Coordinate and schedule risk transfer trainings.
Annual review of the jobsite safety orientation PowerPoint.
Create and review owner contracts, including any necessary markups to be reviewed by the Risk Manager.
Provide jobsite safety information to risk manager for safety and insurance monthly meeting.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and insurance requirements.
3-6 years contract law or related legal experience required OR equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Ability to work irregular hours if necessary to meet the needs of the business to achieve required performance.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new processes and systems.
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience in construction preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
