Technicians maintain advanced knowledge of vehicle systems, identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools, and complete required company training programs. Additional duties include line‑maintenance welding, fabrication, and any other job‑related tasks as assigned.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience servicing heavy‑duty trucks and be capable of inspecting and repairing a range of systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions without supervision. A valid driver’s license is required, with a Class B CDL, ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications, and LNG/CNG experience considered valuable assets.
The Maintenance Technician A works under the direct supervision of a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager and performs repair and maintenance on both diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, air‑brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering.
