Maintain internal CCR guidance materials and train employees on best management practices.

Collaborate with our team to find and apply cost-effective environmental solutions.
Support CCR rule and CCR permit compliance at our facilities through site visits, file reviews, and review and use of Georgia Power’s Environmental Management System.

Experience in Georgia with CCR Solid Waste Permitting or CCR Rule compliance is a plus.
A degree in engineering or science (geology, biology, chemistry, environmental science, etc.) is preferred.
Strong writing and speaking skills.
Experience with groundwater corrective action systems and groundwater geochemistry is a plus.
Ability to work with limited supervision and maintain a flexible schedule, including up to 25% travel. This position is primarily located at the Georgia Power Corporate Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
3-15 years working in solid waste, environmental consulting, or another environmental compliance field.
Good at building relationships and networking.
Experience interpreting and applying regulations, solid waste permitting, Georgia Solid Waste rules, and CCR rule knowledge and experience are a plus.
Obtaining CCR Solid Waste Permits, licenses, and certifications.
Knowledge and demonstrated application of environmental laws and regulations.
Skilled in problem-solving, project management, and mentoring and developing others.
Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
Must consent to a continuous monitoring of your Motor Vehicle Record
Work well in teams and on your own.
Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
