The Baltimore office is hiring a Senior Civil Engineer to support construction activities for the B&P Tunnel Replacement Program. The role is office‑based at a client field office in the Baltimore area and involves coordinating design services during construction.
- Evaluate field conditions for compliance with design drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary experts to address RFIs and design changes.
- Manage schedule of post‑IFC design changes, set priorities and guide the team.
- Interpret and communicate design requirements to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Review construction plans for technical compliance and clarity.
- Collect and analyze shop drawings, specifications, material requirements, and project data throughout the project.
- Ensure QA/QC standards are met and review construction submittals and material substitution requests.
- Utilize Bluebeam to manage RFI and FDC processes and review construction staging drawings.
- Provide technical direction to contractors and support design re‑work as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably on transportation infrastructure projects.
- Active PE license desirable; ability to obtain a Maryland PE may be required.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, materials, and applicable standards.
- Experience inspecting and monitoring contractor work.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and production time management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
