Prepare reports and proposals
Manage bridge engineering projects, coordinate design teams, and support project management teams and technical teams across WSP
Undertake bridge inspections, assessments, and reports
Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction
Prepare specifications and contract documents
Prepare form of tenders, quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates
Carry out preliminary and detailed analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and other civil structures for all levels of government
Carry out contract administration and construction supervision
Set up project meetings, record meeting minutes, and maintain action item list
May be required to provide technical guidance and direction to support staff, contractors, and/or vendors

Professional Engineer with 5-10 years demonstrated experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada
A valid driver's license
Specific areas of expertise required are in the planning, preliminary and detail design, and construction of bridges of standard and complex geometry, and culverts. A thorough knowledge of current Canadian design codes and standards is essential
University degree in Civil Engineering
Experience with inspection, assessment and rehabilitation of existing structures
Working knowledge of structural analysis software used in bridge design
Works well under pressure to meet project deadlines
Superior technical understanding, design abilities, and current on bridge technologies
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experienced in report and proposal writing
