What you would be doing

  • Operate the Mixer control panel
  • Using hydraulic press, press mold to proper length
  • Pour mixture into mold
  • Review order and verify all EPDM & formulas are correct/match
  • Conduct a visual inspection and perform general preventive maintenance of the mixer and press area including the cleaning stand and press in the demold area
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, clear of safety hazards.
  • Inspect Rubber bins on a daily basis in order to ensure that rubber stays contamination free
  • Gather all necessary materials
  • Wait required time for mixture to complete
  • Plan the manpower for the next scheduled mix. Communicate the plant to the mixer team and supervisors
  • Using chain crane, place lid on mold
  • Print the PDR
  • Exert up to 130pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move object.
  • Pump oil & water as necessary per formula specifications
  • Read/review formula, weigh out materials and place in auger

  • Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role
  • 12-months bucket truck experience required
  • Communicate effectively (write, speak) with supervisors and others on performance and safety concerns.
  • Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred
  • Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements
  • Materials are first quality for rubber uploading
  • Attention to detail to complete work assignments.
  • English fluency (read, write, speak); strong communication skills required (written/verbal)
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Adequate hearing ability to receive work instruction and to respond to changes in work environment.
  • Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Ability to understand and abide by safety policies and maintaina safe work environment. Ability to move throughout the work location to comply withsafety requirements.
  • 4 years of machine operator/manufacturing experience required
  • Read and understand units of measure
  • 12-months forklift certification/experience required
  • Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, confined spaces, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
  • Manufacturing Environment: This position may operatein a manufacturing setting with conditions of high-pressure air/steam/gas, hazardous gas/chemical fumes, extreme heat and temperature variations, loud noise, exposure to dangerous machinery, dirty work environment and/or exposure to dust (pigment). The position is requiredto wear PPE including, but not limited to safety glasses, steel toe/composite boots and earplugs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, lifting, pounding, pushing and/or pulling. Move throughout the work location to comply withsafety requirements.
  • Manual dexterity to move material and operateequipment.
  • Time management to comply withscheduled work time and maintainproductivity requirements.
