This is a pivotal time for Clarion’s Lettings Service as it pilots new ways of working, invests in service transformation and reshapes the delivery of homes for customers and communities. The Available Homes Manager will provide senior operational leadership for a large, dispersed team responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of safe, compliant and sustainable lettings across the South region. Reporting to the Head of Home Moves, the manager will work closely with fellow regional leads to shape strategy, drive consistency and deliver national service improvements while ensuring strong regional performance.
Key duties include leading, motivating and developing the regional team, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and owning lettings performance through data‑driven decision making. The manager will reduce void turnaround times and rent loss by effective planning, prioritisation and cross‑service collaboration, and will act as the regional voice within the national Available Homes management structure, contributing to planning and transformation activity. Building and maintaining relationships with local authorities, external partners and internal Maintenance, Housing Management and Development teams is essential to ensure homes are ready, compliant and allocated fairly.
The role requires significant management experience in social or affordable housing, preferably within a housing association or local authority environment, and a proven track record of leading operational teams at scale across multiple locations. Strong performance‑management capability, confidence engaging senior stakeholders and an analytical, solutions‑focused approach are also needed. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, reside in England or Wales for the duration of employment and be able to travel across the South region.
