You will be responsible for the maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and control systems on the plant, performing routine maintenance, inspection, testing, repairs and troubleshooting to meet site targets for availability, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
Key duties include implementing and providing feedback on preventative maintenance, defect rectification and project work for rotating and stationary EC&I equipment, producing maintenance procedures and contractor work scopes, assisting in outage planning and ensuring safety documentation is available, and preparing risk assessments and method statements for work carried out by you or contractors. You will also obtain spare parts from suppliers, supervise contractor personnel, report progress to the EC&I Maintenance Supervisor, and keep detailed records in the Maximo CMMS. Additional tasks involve fault and trip analysis of MV/LV switchgear and auxiliaries, participation in quality and safety committees, and being on call for emergency work during evenings and weekends.
The role requires an Advanced Craft Certificate in Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation or Instrumentation (or a similar accredited qualification), a basic understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings. Strong problem‑solving skills, the willingness to learn, the ability to work independently and respond to emergencies, and proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office are essential. Power‑plant experience is a benefit, and a CompEx certification would be an advantage.
