Assembly and Test Specialists perform routing functions to assemble, test, rework, and repair machine components. They execute production according to schedule, continuously seek process efficiency, and adhere to Standard Work Sheets to maintain quality. Daily duties also include participating in pre‑shift Process Improvement Dialogue, reporting material availability and equipment downtime, and addressing specification gaps to meet engineering test requirements.
The job requires handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead and jib cranes, and hand jacks, as well as working in noisy environments (≥85 dB) and varying temperatures. Physical tasks involve lifting up to 35 lb frequently, standing for eight‑hour shifts, climbing ladders, and working in awkward or tight positions. Required personal protective equipment includes hearing protection, safety glasses, steel‑toe footwear, and additional safety gear as needed.
Candidates need at least six months of manufacturing or warehouse experience, or a demonstrated mechanical aptitude; alternatively, a minimum two‑year technical degree is acceptable. Preferred applicants have prior assembly experience in a manufacturing setting and can read prints, use gauges for quality inspection, and operate basic material‑handling equipment.

The role is a 1st‑shift, supplemental position located in Building SS, East Peoria, with an hourly rate of $23.22 and a minimum of 40 hours per week. The schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., though shifts may change based on business needs. This position offers limited benefits and paid time off up to 40 hours.
