- Prior experience as a crew chief required
- Competent operating total stations, GPS and Data Collectors. Proficiency with the Trimble and Carlson family of surveying equipment is a plus
- Proficiently document each task performed, maintaining accurate records of project progress.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communications skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to physically carry 30 to 60 pounds of equipment multiple times a day, occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- Minimum five years' experience as a Survey Crew Chief with the ability to become a licensed Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) and obtain future licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)
- Ability to interpret design and construction plans
- Willingness to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions
- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Ability to travel for up to a week at a time and work in all types of weather conditions.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson and Inroads software is a plus
- Maintain a current driver's license in good standing and able to operate company owned vehicles
BenefitsSalary Range: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
We offer the opportunity for involvement in a wide variety of surveying assignments for land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. This is a full-time land surveying position, performing field and office duties, including but not limited to: boundary, topographic, ALTA/ASCM land title, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/ drone surveys. This is a professional path position that provides the opportunity to earn a Professional Surveying License.
