Plan, coordinate, perform and document all commissioning activities (pre-commissioning, through construction, testing - commissioning, energization - project close out) of various utility substation protection, control and power circuits in accordance with TRC's and Client's requirements, budgets, schedules
Perform trouble-shooting and problem analysis associated with protection and control systems and utility substation equipment, including but not limited to: Application Errors and Omissions, Drawing Errors and Omissions, Wiring Errors and Omissions, Settings Errors and Omissions, Equipment Malfunctions, Questionable Apparatus Test Results, Battery Ground Faults
Participate in project meetings including but not limited to: kickoff meetings, planning meetings, progress meetings, lessons learned meetings.
Identify risks and associated mitigation techniques on utility systems and equipment. Develop a Site Risk Assessment to document all high risk construction and commissioning activities and to formalize the processes of circuit isolation and restoration in a manner that ensures no unintended operations of station equipment and protection systems and personnel safety.+
Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and project completion reports and documentation that includes project progress, issues or problems, recommendations, test results and analyses
Review of wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering documents in advance of projects and outages

Test experience using Doble Protection Suite and/ or ProTest, SEL AcSELerator, Enoserv RTS are highly preferred.
Current US work eligibility is required together with a Valid USA driver's license issued by state of residence and in good standing is required

Must have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and Team
Prior professional experience in (or the ability to learn quickly) medium and high voltage substation and power plant equipment. Perform basic apparatus testing and interpret test results with supervision.
Must be available for out-of-town travel of up to several weeks at a time
Strong knowledge of (or the ability to learn) electrical protection systems, including relay communication; Basic understanding of (or the ability to learn) AC and DC schematics, wiring and drawings, one line and three line interconnection diagrams
Solid testing and commissioning knowledge of (or the ability to learn quickly) substation utility protection and control circuits. Perform commissioning activities and interpret results with supervision. Basic knowledge of and ability to learn commissioning methods to accurately conduct and document commissioning activities.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical or Power Systems preferred) from an accredited school or University and 10+ years related experience with testing and commissioning services (Electric Utility experience is preferred but will train T-C Engineers with experience in commissioning complex commercial - industrial equipment including protective relays or other Power Systems Field Engineers with relay knowledge.) Project located in Mid-Atlantic.
