Description

The Revenue Accountant reports to the Manager of Revenue Accounting and is tasked with maintaining accurate resident ledgers, supporting rent‑arrears collection, and handling deposit accounting for Centurion’s multi‑residential portfolio to ensure assets are managed efficiently and according to established standards.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, addressing resident inquiries promptly.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents, handling feedback, complaints, and fostering community engagement.
• Enter resident move‑ins, move‑outs, lease details, and payment information into the Yardi system.
• Post monthly rents and late fees, process receipts, and keep the accounts receivable sub‑ledger accurate.
• Set up and manage resident pre‑authorized payments and pursue collection on NSF checks.
• Ensure resident records in Yardi are current and accurate, updating information as needed.
• Process evictions, rent increases, lease terminations, and assignments in compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act.
• Prepare monthly vacancy reports using Yardi and Excel.
• Compile and forward documentation for legal or collection actions on delinquent accounts.
• Calculate and process annual rent deposit interest in accordance with RTA regulations.

Requirements

• Hold a post‑secondary degree or diploma in accounting with 2–3 years of AR/collections experience.
• Demonstrate strong MS‑Word and MS‑Excel skills, detail‑orientation, and the ability to meet deadlines independently and collaboratively.
