Description

The role involves responsibility for rail and road bridge, viaduct, and structure design, with an emphasis on steel structures and joint detailing. The incumbent will prepare reports and calculations in line with Network Rail standards, lead a team of 4‑5 junior engineers or draftsmen, and plan and deliver bridge surveys, inspections, and assessments.

Project delivery includes managing budgets, resource deployment, preparing work‑item estimates, identifying scope changes, and ensuring compliance with SYSTRA Group policies on ethics, safety, and ISO standards. The candidate should hold a BE in Civil Engineering with an M.Tech in Structural Engineering, have 5‑10 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in Sofistik, Midas, and Oasys.

• Design rail/road bridges, viaducts, and steel structures with detailed joint specifications.
• Produce calculations and reports compliant with Network Rail standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 junior engineers or draftsmen.
• Plan and execute bridge surveys, inspections, and assessment reporting.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and scope change identification.
• Prepare work‑item estimates and ensure adherence to SYSTRA ethics, safety, and ISO policies.
• Travel to client sites and collaborate with global SYSTRA offices.

Active pursuit of professional qualification, ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary team, minimal supervision, mentoring of others, and willingness to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices are required.
