The Managing Consultant will lead projects in medical affairs strategy, integrated evidence planning, real-world evidence study design, and AI-enabled analytics. They will create solutions for evidence generation, data utilization, and omnichannel scientific communications while ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory compliance. The role also involves advising clients on AI-driven predictive analytics and supporting thought leadership through white papers and presentations.
In addition to project delivery, the consultant will manage work plans, staffing, budgets, and multiple concurrent engagements, acting as the primary point of contact for clients. They will coach and mentor junior consultants, lead team meetings, and collaborate with Directors on progress reporting and practice development. Participation in sales initiatives and expanding Guidehouse’s footprint in tech-enabled medical affairs is also expected.
- Lead medical affairs strategy projects, including evidence planning and AI-enabled analytics.
- Design and execute real-world evidence studies and develop omnichannel scientific communication solutions.
- Advise clients on AI-driven predictive analytics and medical content automation.
- Produce thought leadership white papers and presentations on digital transformation.
- Support proposal development and client pitches emphasizing digital health capabilities.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Guidehouse’s tech-enabled medical affairs services.
- Mentor junior consultants, providing coaching and career development guidance.
- Manage project work plans, staffing, budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent engagements.
- Serve as primary client liaison, ensuring high-quality, client-ready deliverables.
- Collaborate with Directors on project progress and practice development initiatives.

Candidates must hold a BA/BS in a scientific, engineering, or business discipline and have at least four years of medical affairs experience in pharma, biotech, or consulting, with strong knowledge of global regulatory frameworks. Desired expertise includes holistic medical strategy development, real-world evidence study execution, digital health platforms, AI analytics, and data interpretation from sources such as CMS or IQVIA. Advanced degrees, strong teamwork, and excellent communication skills are preferred; travel up to 20% and U.S. work authorization are required.
- Hold a BA/BS in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field.
- Possess 4+ years of medical affairs experience with strong global regulatory knowledge.
- Demonstrated expertise in holistic medical strategy, real-world evidence, digital health platforms, and AI analytics.
- Experience interpreting data from datasets such as CMS, IQVIA, or Symphony.
- Proven ability to supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to client sites across the U.S.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or Master’s) preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication and collaborative teamwork skills.
