Evaluate, select, and oversee the installation of equipment and systems meet project requirements.
Engineer and implement modifications to equipment and systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing equipment arrangements and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software.
Apply engineering principles to develop and evaluate alternate processes and equipment arrangements to assess effects on operations, costs, and feasibility of implementation.
Lead sub-teams in accomplishing the mechanical engineering and design goals of multidiscipline projects.
Responsible for completing project-specific objectives on time and on budget under the direction of an engineering manager.
Assist the engineering manager and project managers in developing engineering work hour estimates and construction quantities for project proposals.
Independently and collaboratively develop engineering calculations, documents, and drawings for external client presentations.
Independently apply engineering best practices and professional judgment to the design of new and modified industrial and power generation systems.
Responsible for planning, design, procurement, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment.
Perform detailed quality reviews of engineering deliverables prepared by others.

Energy and chemical and/or power design engineering experience preferred.
Working knowledge of relevant codes, including ASME B31.1/31.3, ASME Sec. VIII, API 650, NFPA 20, and NFPA 22.
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
PE or willingness and ability to obtain one.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
Competency in Bluebeam Revu or similar software, and in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the application of power generation equipment and ancillary equipment and systems, including boilers; steam and combustion turbines; economizers; heat recovery steam generators; pumps; fans; blowers; and fuel handling, water treatment, feed water, cooling water, and compressed air systems.
Working knowledge of AFT Arrow and Fathom, or similar graphical flow simulation software, and in Autodesk AutoCAD.
CAESAR II or similar pipe stress software experience.
