Actively participate in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) risk assessments and contribute to hazard identification, mitigation, and corrective actions.
Monitor key metrics such as labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and downtime; identify trends and propose corrective actions.
Maintain accurate documentation related to work orders, safety inspections, and quality checks.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support smooth execution of make-to-order production schedules.
Supervise daily operations and direct hourly production employees in a unionized environment, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are met.
Support continuous improvement activities, including Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
Ensure compliance with applicable Ontario health and safety regulations, including OHSA and CSA standards relevant to electrical manufacturing and high-voltage equipment.
Lead or support root cause analysis for safety incidents, quality defects, or production disruptions using tools such as 5 Whys or Fishbone Diagrams.
Provide guidance and support to team members, promote a positive labor-management relationship, and ensure adherence to the collective agreement.
Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of manufacturing procedures and standard work instructions, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance.

Solid understanding of Ontario’s occupational health and safety laws, including knowledge of ESA, WSIB, and OHSA regulations.
