  • Utilize dispatch software and communication tools to manage scheduling, tracking, and reporting functions efficiently.
  • Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of lowbed trucks, Hiab trucks, and other small 1-ton vehicles to meet client requirements and operational efficiency.
  • Address and resolve any customer inquiries or concerns related to dispatch operations, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all dispatch activities comply with provincial and federal trucking regulations, including hours of service and load restrictions.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch schedules, driver logs, and delivery documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance dispatch processes and overall operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, providing clear instructions and support to ensure compliance with schedules and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and track the status and location of dispatched vehicles, addressing any issues or delays promptly to maintain service commitments.
  • Develop and optimize delivery routes within the Lower Mainland to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of equipment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule necessary vehicle maintenance without disrupting service schedules.

  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with drivers, clients, and team members.
  • Familiarity with operating various types of trucks and equipment, including lowbed and Hiab trucks.
  • Only residents in the Lower Mainland of BC will be considered.
  • Ability to analyze logistical challenges and implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Lower Mainland's geography, traffic patterns, and routing considerations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and foster positive working relationships.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Lower Mainland's road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.
  • Knowledge of provincial and federal trucking regulations, including safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dispatching role, preferably within the transportation or construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, as operational needs dictate.
  • Proficiency in dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
  • Competence in using standard office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation management is an asset.
