  • Perform Assembly and Disassembly: Execute assembly and disassembly of turbochargers and their components according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Conduct Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, reconditioning, and parts replacement to optimize turbocharger performance.
  • Mentor and Lead Teams: Lead small teams of technicians as needed, ensuring efficient collaboration and skill development.
  • Provide Customer Support: Offer technical advice and support to customers, both onsite and remotely.
  • Inspect and Diagnose: Assess turbochargers for wear and damage, accurately diagnose mechanical issues, and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Prepare Technical Reports: Write detailed technical reports on the condition of turbochargers and the maintenance or repair work performed.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Verify that all maintenance and repairs meet established quality standards and safety regulations.

  • Education: Recognized electrical or mechanical certification from an accredited trade school, military training institution, or associate degree in a related field.
  • Agile and adaptable – You thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel and ever-changing challenges.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with turbochargers (e.g., ABB, MAN, NAPIER, MET), marine diesel engines, or similar mechanical systems. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Technically proficient and detail-oriented – You bring hands-on expertise in turbocharger systems, ensuring flawless assembly, maintenance, and repair.
  • Travel Extensively: Be prepared for up to 75% travel, including domestic and occasional international trips, with flexibility to work occasional weekends.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator – You provide clear technical support to customers and coordinate seamlessly with your team.
  • Analytical problem solver – You diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with precision and efficiency.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Skills: Strong technical understanding of turbocharger systems, effective problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to write detailed technical reports.
