- Inspects, maintains company equipment, and trucks in safe working order.
- May be required to read and interpret blueprints.
- Perform work in a safe manner on energized and de-energized distribution systems.

- Has the ability to troubleshoot problems on distribution systems?
- Must be able to conduct a Job Task Safety Analysis (JTSA) as required.
- Capable of safely performing a re-conductor job
- Experienced in pole/tower climbing using fall protection systems.
- May be required to hold a valid class “B” commercial driver’s license.
- Capable of climbing wooden poles and towers.

- Exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.
- Has worked in the line industry as an apprentice lineman for at least 4 years.
- Understands safe heavy lifting and rigging procedures.
