Providing innovative energy solutions for a sustainable, electrified future.
The role can be based at our headquarters in Holland or at the Lake Orion facility. You will collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering teams to develop simulation-based solutions and work with Application Engineers on proposal simulations. Balancing project priorities and cross-business-unit work, you will also initiate and cultivate external partnerships and share simulation knowledge across JR Automation businesses.
Key simulation responsibilities include performing robotic reach and cycle-time studies, system throughput analyses, and validating tooling, layout, and robot selection. You will deliver robot paths, OLPs, data, and produce simulation videos and images for internal teams and customers, presenting findings professionally.
Additional opportunities involve creating virtual commissioning simulations and digital twins, developing advanced simulation tools, standards, processes, models, and scripts, as well as producing high-quality 3D animation videos for marketing purposes.
Candidates must have at least three years of direct robotics experience, preferably in industrial automation, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Software Engineering is preferred. Experience with simulation software such as RobotStudio, RoboGuide, Visual Components, Emulate3D, Process Simulate, or Plant Simulate is desired, along with strong logical thinking, mechanical aptitude, programming skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
The position requires occasional travel, including extended periods for project work, training, sales events, conferences, and possible international trips. All candidates must successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.
