Senior Project Engineer

Description

In this role you will support project teams by managing technical aspects of construction, including shop drawing review, document control, RFIs, submittals, change management, and related activities, working closely with the Project Manager and field personnel.

• Assist project staff with coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control.
• Develop and maintain cost reporting and change order tracking system with the Project Manager.
• Manage allowance tracking logs, drawing records, revisions, and ASI communications to trades.
• Take meeting notes and issue minutes; prepare bid packages and procurement documentation.
• Oversee submittal and RFI processes, BIM MEP 3‑D coordination, and ensure O&M manuals meet standards.
• Support field personnel in quality control and enforce safety and OSHA standards on site.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, serving as liaison between jobsite, office, and vendors.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and plans for value analysis, constructability, and compliance.
• Conduct work sampling and advise on production efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Demonstrate strong follow‑up, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Remain highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management (or related) and 3‑5 years of project engineering experience with a general contractor.
• Proficient with project management software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office/SharePoint.
