The Real Estate Development Manager leads and coordinates development projects from acquisition and entitlement through construction and disposition. The Manager will oversee projects, manage external consultants and contractors, and act as the primary internal owner of the project delivery process.

  • Manage the entitlement and permitting process: coordinate with consultants to prepare and submit application materials, coordinate with planners and municipal staff, and lead community outreach when required.
  • Takes ownership for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (market, entitlement, cost, schedule); recommend and implement risk-mitigation strategies.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for a portfolio of developments (site acquisition, due diligence, entitlements, design, permitting etc.).
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, and dashboards for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project pro formas and schedule baselines; monitor performance against targets and implement corrective actions.

  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible real estate development experience (or equivalent in acquisitions, project management, construction management, or development consulting). Manager-level experience in San Francisco Bay Area preferred.
  • Excellent in interacting with public agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders.
  • Problem-solver and self-starter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable communicating with municipal staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, or Architecture.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently on individual tasks.
