Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades, and other temporary structures.
Handle, secure, load and unload construction materials, tools, and machinery.
Shovel, excavate, backfill, and compact various materials including but limited to asphalt, concrete, flagstone, earth, and rocks.
Assist with setting structures, building, and moving forms, cutting lumber, and strip/patch.
Perform job site clean-up and maintain job site free of hazards.
Cut, grind, break up, and demolish concrete and asphalt using various hand tools.
Operate various hand tools and equipment including but not limited to picks, shovels, powered tools, jackhammers, saws, tampers, roto hammers, and drills.
Assist in preparing job site by removing material including but not limited to debris, rocks, dirt, concrete, asphalt, and other material.
May operate equipment including but not limited to skid steers, forklifts, and light vehicles.
Assist subgrade work with mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
Perform daily job site and equipment inspections.
Flag and control traffic on roadways.
Conduct grade checks.
Dig holes or trenches, utilizing hand tools.
Support Carpenters, Masons, Operators, and other specialized trades as required.
Operate basic surveying/layout equipment including but not limited to, tape measure, level, pipe laser, etc.
Lifting, pushing, pulling of heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs. or more.
Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery.
Install and maintain perimeter barricades, fencing and screening.

Previous construction experience, preferred.
Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions.
Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct daily.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
Ability to wear a full body harness and work at heights while tied off.
Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours).
Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces.
Ability to work in safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
