Internship - Property Management

Description

• Learn and apply company policies, procedures, and industry best practices through projects and assigned tasks.
• Assist with rent collections, invoice processing, and financial recordkeeping as directed.
• Help monitor property appearance by conducting site walks and reporting maintenance or curb appeal issues.
• Shadows and attend meetings with Regional Property Manager gain exposure to the full scope of property management operations.
• Assist the Property Manager, Leasing team, and Maintenance staff with the day-to-day operations of residential properties.
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and administrative tasks to support management and operations.
• Support the leasing process, including preparing marketing materials, scheduling showings, and helping with lease file documentation.
• Assists in preparing service request submissions for residents.
• Maintain resident files, correspondence, and reports in accordance with company standards.
• Participate in property inspections, move-ins, and move-outs to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the property management team to ensure resident satisfaction and retention.
• Greeting and assisting residents, prospects, and vendors, ensuring professional and welcoming experience.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
• Must live local and commutable driving distance to the Harrisburg and Mechanicsburg area
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as, but no limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams
• Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Customer service–oriented team player with professional conflict management skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn
• Ability to present their appearance/dress professionally & effectively for meetings, tenant, and client interactions
• Must have a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
• Experience testing or using CRM or property management software is welcome but not required
• Ability to flex/work occasional hours outside of standard office times for events and meetings
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to professionally collaborate with others via email or in person
• Must have completed at least 2 years of college coursework
