Manager, Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting (Vancouver)

Description

In this role you will manage the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements under ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP, ensure completeness of reporting packages, lead accounting analysis of complex transactions, standardize policies, oversee external audits, develop reporting strategies, strengthen internal controls, serve as a point of contact for reporting queries, and support special projects.

• Prepare and review financial statements per ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of standalone and consolidated reporting packages.
• Lead accounting analysis of complex transactions and ledger entries.
• Standardize and implement accounting policies and new pronouncements.
• Provide leadership for external audits.
• Develop and modernize financial reporting strategies and processes.
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
• Serve as primary contact for internal and external reporting queries.
• Support special projects and ad‑hoc duties.
• Consolidated, multi‑currency statement preparation and technical accounting analysis.

The ideal candidate has experience in financial and technical reporting for large, complex organizations, including preparing consolidated multi‑currency statements and technical accounting analysis. A CPA designation, strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS, proficiency with REALpac and MS Office, excellent communication and people skills, and real‑estate industry exposure are preferred.
