Maintain Project Automation database (e.g. Smart Plant). Checks Piping & Instrument drawings (P&IDs) in accordance with PFDs, PDS. Implement during detail design engineering extensive use of 2D and 3D AutoCAD and Micro station, Smart PLANT, PDS, AutoPLANT and other project-specific software tools.
Continuous learning capture for ongoing enquiries, ongoing projects and build knowledge bank in the KM Portal. Conduct Knowledge Sharing sessions to impart learning and share the lessons learned.
Review of critical deliverables like Piping & Valve Material Specification with relevant ASTM, API, ASME and other international codes and standards. Review of Plot Plan/ Site Layout, Hazardous Area Classification Drawings, Equipment Layout, Pipe Rack Layout, Piping General Arrangement Drawings, Piping Isometrics drawings, Stress analysis and pipe supports. 3D Model Periodic Review & Deliver Piping Material Take-offs for procurement as per project schedule.
Attend model review sessions and lead the review session Value engineering Management function. Attend project meetings. Monitor of work by review of DCI & MCI, schedule activities. Provide input to progress reports and prepare catch-up plans. Monitor and control costs attributed to piping. Initiate change order for variation to scope and intimate the same to project team. Anticipates challenges and develops contingency plans. Guide team to deliver piping work. Ensure Client Focus and relationship function to ensure smooth execution of the Project Execution.
Will be front facing with Client, Engg. Contractor and Engg Consultant to ensure detailed Piping design & engineering, Full compliance with Project Specifications, seamless work delivery with quality and as per project schedule with optimization and value engineering Responsibilities. Undertake Revamp Plant Scanning, Preparation of 3D Model of the Plant, Piping interface engineering, closely work with other multi-discipline team members, Project team, Detail engineering partner/contractor, client consultant to deliver the work as per Project schedule.

Knowledge of Local Statutory compliance related to process plants. Strong understanding of plant safety and able to implement safety in plant design. Good knowledge of industry codes and standards namely; ASTM/ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/OISD/EIL/PDIL and other International PMCs, EPCs and Process Licensors.
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of complex refinery projects. Candidate shall have very strong understanding of all drawings, documents, specifications and data sheets to be generated and reviewed for typical refinery/ Fertilizers project. Candidate should be competent enough to provide cost effective, value addition suggestion adding value to EPC/EPCM projects. Exposure to FEED, Detail Engineering, Pre-bid activities of projects. Strong technical skills Knowledge of good engineering & global engineering practices followed in piping engineering.
The Candidate must have experience in basic & detailed Piping Engineering during pre-bid and post order stage of Process Plants such as Fertilizers, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refinery, Specialty Chemicals, Oil & Gas Projects, Off-Sites and Utility facilities. Candidate must have experience of at least 3 to 4 Project Life Cycles as EPC/EPCM in green field/ brown field and Revamp type of projects.
Skills Value Engineering Statutory compliance in layout and plant design3D. Plant design review (PDMS/CADWORKS/Navis Works/ SPR). Undertake Plant Layout Design Calculations, compliance to Process/equipment Data Sheets, Project Specifications, codes & Standards. Undertake Stress Analysis. Issue Material Take Off, Material Requisitions, Technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, Fire Protection system and Loss Prevention.
Strong understanding of various safety studies namely- SIL, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOP, EERA, QRA etc Cross functional Competence requirement. Understanding of Inputs and interface with various disciplines Project management, Planning, Civil, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical & Process.
