  • Confirm departments operate at acceptable efficiency levels and all equipment and machines are kept in working order.
  • Ensure products produced meet quality standards.
  • Control the inventory of supplies and raw materials, work in process, and scrap within the area of responsibility.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
  • Coordinate training of new employees and delegate workload throughout the area.
  • Associate Purchase Program on All Fortune Brands Products
  • Provide daily communication to department.
  • Analyze to resolve work problems or assisting personnel in solving work problems.
  • Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation, approving daily hours of associates time, and production records.
  • Perform accident investigations as required.
  • Promote workplace safety by assuring universal precautions and safe work practices are used, assures fire, safety, and disaster plans are established and communicated to all department associates.
  • Enforce compliance of all company policies, safety and housekeeping regulations. Communicate comments/concerns of personnel to supervisor. Recommending corrective action for employees where appropriate.
  • Assign associates to specific jobs on a daily basis to ensure proper rotation.
  • Participate in risk management assessments; maintain security and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
