Perform battery sizing and capacity estimation based on project requirements (residential, C&I, utility).
Select appropriate batteries, inverters, and system components (battery modules, racks, PCS, transformers).
Ensure that all designs comply with international standards and local regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, UL).
Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load flow studies, and power system schematics.
Collaborate with project teams for the implementation of BESS solutions, providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle
Analyse battery degradation and lifecycle to assist in project lifecycle planning.
Stay updated on industry standards related to energy storage, grid integration, and electrical safety.
Engage with vendors for component sourcing, pricing, and ensuring compliance with design standards.
Review vendor documentation to match project requirements and integration needs.

We are looking for an experienced BESS Design Engineer with a background in electrical engineering to support the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in designing and sizing BESS systems, creating Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and working with battery and inverter technologies for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies and power conversion systems (PCS).
Experience in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, and system schematics.
Understand technical specifications for lithium-ion batteries, energy density, DOD, SOC, IR, and other performance parameters.
2-3 years of experience in designing BESS systems.
Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, UL).
Excellent interpersonal skills while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills with superiors, peers, partners, and other stakeholders.
Technical understanding of clean energy business processes
Familiarity with industry-standard software for electrical design (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, Homer or similar).
