

HNTB provides infrastructure solutions, offering planning, design, and construction services.
As an electrical intern you will work with experienced engineers on the design of power systems, conducting load and voltage‑drop calculations, and applying the National Electric Code. You will also assist in lighting design using AGI32, prepare engineering drawings and related documentation, and contribute to multidisciplinary project teams. The role involves research, development, and other duties as assigned to support safe, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited post‑secondary program pursuing a degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering, and have a high school diploma or GED. Strong written and verbal communication, basic electrical knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required. Preferred qualifications include two years of post‑secondary education, interest in transportation infrastructure, experience with AGI32, and familiarity with CAD tools such as MicroStation, Revit, or AutoCAD.
