  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk matrices; implement mitigation strategies to ensure delivery against milestones.
  • Support execution phase through to handover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Oversee interconnection processes with utilities and authorities; coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting.
  • Maintain project documentation, financial tracking, and reporting for internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Lead full lifecycle development of as-a-Service energy projects, from site identification through notice-to-proceed (NTP) and commercial operation.
  • Secure and assess project sites, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and regulatory requirements; manage permitting and local approvals.
  • Act as primary customer contact during development, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and satisfaction.
  • Manage suppliers and service providers to meet project requirements and ABB’s standards for integrity, HSE, and commercial terms.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university, with a strong foundation in energy systems, infrastructure, or related technical disciplines.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in matrixed or global environments. Professional demeanor with a collaborative, proactive mindset and a bias for action. Ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of commercial and financial aspects of project delivery, including the New Contracting Process (NCP), ECP relationship management, and cost-benefit analysis. Ability to align technical execution with business goals.
  • Project Management & Execution: Strong project management capabilities, including risk identification and mitigation, stakeholder engagement, timeline and budget control, and coordination of internal and external resources. Experience with front-end engineering design (FEED) and transition to commercial operation is a plus.
  • Communication & Tools Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across internal teams, customers, and external partners. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable presenting technical and strategic content.
  • Full Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrated success across all phases of project development — including site identification, feasibility assessment, permitting, securing local approvals, interconnection processes, execution, and final handover. Familiarity with European permitting and interconnection frameworks is highly valued.
  • Mobility & Language Skills: Willingness and ability to travel extensively across project sites, customer offices, and vendor/contractor locations within the EU. Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an asset.
  • Project Development Experience: Minimum of 8 years in energy project development and/or project management, with hands-on experience in technologies such as energy storage, microgrids, and electrification infrastructure. Proven ability to manage projects from concept through commissioning.
