What you would be doing

Counsel and educate existing patients on REMS FDA-mandated medications.
Adhere to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications.
Collaborate with Pharmacy Support teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of specialty drugs.
Discuss potential and current side effects with patients to educate about treatment alternatives and facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.
Complete thorough and accurate documentation following good documentation practices and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Schedule medication refill deliveries and collect copays, if applicable.
Perform specialty drug verification and education to support therapeutic longevity.
Read a list of statements to the patient verbatim as part of the REMS program.
Ensure patients and caregivers are informed about current therapy and medication adherence.
Maintain patient demographic records, medical history, and records in compliance with federal HIPAA standards.
Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer, FDA, and/or other governing authorities.

Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with experience in motivational interviewing preferred.
5 or more years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in inpatient or outpatient care preferred.
Proficiency in computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based programs.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to obtain licensing in all states and United States territories serviced within 3 months of employment through Biologics supported programming.
Proficiency in computer data entry and phone etiquette.
Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure.
Experience in oncology nursing, both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Associates, Bachelor, or higher degree in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, and technical procedures.
