The incumbent will plan, layout, install, and repair wiring, conduit, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in industrial environments.
All work must comply with safety and project rules, including lockout/tagout procedures. The employee will load, transport, maintain, and unload tools, equipment, and supplies, and may perform additional duties as needed.
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to locate wiring before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit using hand tools
- Pull wiring through conduit with assistance
- Strip, splice, and secure wires by twisting, soldering, or using terminal caps
- Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
- Install and fasten switches, relays, and circuit‑breaker panels
- Attach power cables to equipment and install grounding leads
- Test circuit continuity with an ohmmeter, battery, buzzer, or oscilloscope to ensure safety
- Observe installed equipment to identify hazards, needed adjustments, or replacements
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems
- Load, transport, unload, and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies
- Identify color codes correctly
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
- Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures under supervision while exercising independent judgment
- Perform tasks with measured accuracy and adhere to precise standards

The position is a long‑term maintenance role with no per diem. Work hours are Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑3:30 PM. Candidates must pass a pre‑employment background check and physical and have at least 36 months of industrial electrical experience.
A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with relevant experience, is required. The role demands accurate judgment, the ability to read 3‑D drawings, perform arithmetic quickly, and work at heights without fear.
Physical demands include standing (65 % of the shift), walking, lifting up to 30 lb, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and frequent reaching, balancing, and handling of tools.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant industrial electrical experience
- Conduct arithmetic operations rapidly and accurately
- Interpret 3‑D drawings and work at heights without fear
- Stand (65 %), walk (15 %), sit (20 %) during shift
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 lb (70 ft‑lb force)
- Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and use fine motor skills as needed
