Land Survey Intern / Co-op - Spring 2026

Overview

Assist survey team with field data collection, drafting, and equipment maintenance.

Tasks

-Maintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary; -Assist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing. -Field work that will require conducting boundary, topographic, utility, and architectural surveys; -Preparing technical reports, survey plans and layout plans for projects such as utility construction, road and parking layout, and site improvements; -Remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices; attend internal training to expand knowledge and skills; and -Support the survey crew in collection of site and utility information; -Perform construction layout;

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of Terramodel, Trimble, Leica and Topcon Total Stations, Trimble GPS and TDS is desired; and -Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred; -Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; -Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; -Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; -Reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver’s license in good standing. -Student actively pursuing a four year degree in Engineering Technology, Survey, or Civil Engineering;
