- Apply engineering principles, methods and techniques to the assurance of highway and related facility construction.
- Ensure the safe utilization, storage and maintenance of all documents and tools.
- Observe, measure, and conduct tests of materials to determine construction compliance with the project plans, approved shop/working drawings, and governing specifications.
- Submit accurate, legible, comprehensive and complete testing and/or inspection reports on a daily basis in accordance with project Quality Plan.
- Serve as lead worker for less experienced workers
- Meet established project deadlines.
- Review plans, specifications, and shop/working drawings for project activities
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Contact supervisor for priorities and deadlines in the field.
- Update Direct Report on progress and delays on every task or assignment.
- Understand, adhere, and participate in the Raba Kistner Health & Safety and BBS Programs, setting a good example of our safety standards.
- Prepare, review, and/or approve reports.
- Perform research and problem solving of engineering-related activities.

- Certified as an Engineer-In-Training
- Minimum of three (3) years engineering related experience in transportation engineering with applicable towards gaining licensure as an engineer by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Graduate level education may be substituted for years of experience.
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering which has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET)
- Possess a valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meet firm’s auto insurability requirements.
