Organize work by studying work orders, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and blueprints; gathering required materials;
Recommend necessary spare inventory parts for emergency repairs.
Maintain and repair all types of HVAC systems and associated components, facility operations through the monitoring and repair of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, equipment, and controls
Test and repair systems by operating the systems; identifying malfunctions; repairing or replacing sealants, parts, and components.
Provide general preventative maintenance and troubleshoot call support for non-HVAC components which could include plumbing, electrical, and carpentry requirements as well as other building systems/assets
Perform the skilled journey-level work required to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain air conditioning equipment and systems & preventive and predictive maintenance on required systems

Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working on commercial heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and controls. Requires the ability to read blueprints and apply basic math. The HVAC technician must understand local electrical and HVAC codes and have a strong general mechanical aptitude. The HVAC technician must have communication/documentation skills, conceptual skills, attention to detail, and impeccable dependability as verified through references. Each complete year of an accredited college education in a related field, including vocational schooling (with an HVAC specialty), may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
