What you would be doing

Act as a lead liaison between clients, agencies, contractors, and design teams
Act in a lead position, providing technical direction over a group of structural designers and functioning as a technical specialist and consultant for our internal staff
Seal construction documents for agency submittals and addresses review comments
Perform on-site construction observation and prepare observation reports
Utilize Autodesk Revit preparing models for building structures and structural components
Prepare or review construction documents, technical specifications, and estimates
Review submittals supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, architects, and contractors, and recommend necessary changes
Potentially assist the project manager in preparing the department/division budget, policy implementation, and contracts
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate structural engineering work; prepare design calculations, sketches, and technical comparisons
Research structural elements of building codes and standards while coordinating with building authorities

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to work alongside designers for the preparation of design documents
Experience in concurrently managing multiple projects, schedules, and budgets
Typically, a minimum of 5 years' experience after educational requirements
Bachelors in Structural Engineering or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis
Passed the NCEES Structural SE exam and registration as a Structural Engineer (SE) in any state and ability to register as an SE in the state of Utah
Knowledge of building codes, approval processes, and site-specific research
Capable of preparing presentations and delivering in group situations
Understanding of the principles/practices of structural engineering and architecture

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $90,000-$115,000.
