The role involves reviewing exhibition stand designs to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards, as well as verifying that stands are built according to approved designs through onsite inspections. Inspection reports, findings, and recommendations are documented accurately, and results are communicated to designers, contractors, and event organizers. Technical support and guidance are provided to team members and stakeholders, and the engineer follows up on stand completion to ensure halls are ready for opening, performing pre‑opening checks and reviewing technical drawings and calculations while ensuring all engineering procedures are implemented within their responsibility.
Due to event schedules, the position requires extensive onsite presence throughout the venue, often during evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Work is primarily indoors, though some elements may be outdoors or at offsite venues managed by DEC, and meetings can occur at client premises.
A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or an equivalent certification is required.
Candidates must have at least four years of experience in the capacity of Junior Structural Engineer.
The candidate should be fluent in English (both verbal and written), possess strong computer literacy with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Email, and have knowledge of EBMS and report writing.
