The Director will collaborate with Business Development to identify new opportunities, lead comprehensive project planning, and manage the turnover from estimating to execution. Key duties involve recruiting, training, and mentoring construction personnel, conducting formal performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative, accountable work environment. The role requires periodic site visits to enforce safety and quality standards, accurate reporting of operational metrics, and support for compliance with internal policies and healthcare regulations.
- Lead the healthcare construction sector to achieve strategic growth and operational excellence.
- Partner with Business Development to pursue new market opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
- Oversee comprehensive project planning, including job start meetings and preconstruction sessions.
- Facilitate turnover from estimating to project teams, aligning budget, fee, and scope.
- Supervise project mobilization, ensuring teams are properly staffed and equipped.
- Review contract terms and assist in negotiations to secure favorable outcomes.
- Monitor project financials, maintain positive cash flow, and drive profitability.
- Ensure timely progress payments, job closeouts, and accurate reporting of metrics.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate construction personnel to build high‑performance teams.
- Conduct site visits to enforce safety, quality standards, and provide status updates.
- Submit management reports and operational metrics accurately and on schedule.
- Support compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and healthcare building codes.
- Assist the Division Manager with non‑operational functions to meet broader business objectives.

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Healthcare Construction with 15+ years of proven leadership to serve as the primary sector leader for our Atlanta, GA market. The role drives operational excellence across safety, quality, schedule performance, financial outcomes, and client satisfaction on complex healthcare builds.
Candidates must have 15+ years of progressive commercial construction experience with a strong emphasis on healthcare projects, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and familiarity with healthcare safety and infection control protocols. Preferred qualifications include LEED accreditation, expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and proficiency with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and project management platforms (Procore, CMiC).
